Abstract: This paper compares baseline survey data from 2017, 2021, and 2024 to examine the development status of township forestry stations in Sichuan province from four key perspectives: institutional types, personnel conditions, infrastructure, and functional performance. It further analyzes the opportunities and challenges in the construction of these stations in terms of grassroots service systems, working conditions, personnel quality, and station management. In the context of the comprehensive implementation of the forest chief system, this research proposes targeted strategies to enhance the capacity building of township forestry stations in Sichuan province
