Abstract:
This paper explored the adaptability of different seed sources of Chinese fir in Southeast Yunnan in order to provide scientific basis for the selection of the best seed sources for afforestation in barren mountains or tree species renewal, and provide scientific reference for cultivating excellent forest resources and wood, making up for the shortage of timber forest, low survival rate of afforestation, improving the utilization rate of forest resources and vegetation coverage in Southeast Yunnan. The results showed that the growth variation analysis of tree height, DBH and stock volume of local provenances in Guangnan County was the best compared with other provenances; the growth of 7-year old Chinese fir from different provenances had significant differences in tree height, DBH and stock volume (P<0.01). Therefore, the local provenances of Guangnan County should be selected first in the selection of Chinese fir for afforestation in Southeast Yunnan, and the principle of suitable location and suitable tree should be followed to better reflect the ecological and economic benefits, so as to transform the green waters and mountains into golden mountains and silver mountains.
