Abstract: Wildlife is an important group of ecological protection and the main object of research and management.With the development of technology, more and more techniques are being used to monitor wildlife. This article collated and summarized the traditional monitoring technology and the current mainstream monitoring technology, discuss the shortcomings of current monitoring methods. Based on the application of space-sky-terrestrial technology in various fields, taking yunnan wild Asian elephant monitoring as an example, considers the application of space-sky-terrestrial integrated big data in the field of wildlife monitoring and provides a new perspective for the development of wildlife monitoring technology in the future.
