Abstract: Biodiversity is the basis for human survival and development, and an important survival support system for the sustainable development of human society. Chuxiong prefecture is a key area of biodiversity conservation in Yunnan province.The article outlines the status quo of biodiversity conservation in Chuxiong Prefecture, introduces the actions and measures that Chuxiong prefecture has taken in biodiversity conservation in recent years, summarizes the main achievements and points out the problems existing in biodiversity conservation in Chuxiong prefecture. Suggestion has been put forward which is to find out the overall situation of biodiversity, perfect the protection system, improve the protection rules and regulations, increase the capital investment, perfect the monitoring system, improve the monitoring capabilities, strengthen publicity and education, improve the awareness of protection, improve management and protection capabilities, increase protection efforts and other work suggestion,with a view to better provide a reference for the protection of biodiversity in Chuxiong prefecture.
