Abstract: The current construction of forest parks tends to blindly follow the development of scenic spots, lacking the inherent aspects related to forest ecological health preservation. This article takes the construction of Ma'anshan Forest Park under the concept of health preservation as the research object, expounds the background, history, and significance of the construction of health-preserving forest parks; proposes the construction principles of people-oriented, protection priority, overall consideration, and orderly progress; and puts forward the construction of forest parks based on the concept of health preservation from seven aspects: landscape functional area, health preservation core area, core landscape area, general recreation area, forest science popularization experience area, medicinal food homology experience area, and management service area. It briefly describes the product planning of health-preserving forest parks as well as the difficulties and countermeasures, aiming to provide reference suggestions for the construction and development of forest parks under the concept of health preservation.
