Abstract:
From the perspective of forestry work practice, this study explores the feasibility of using JavaScript, and WeChat Mini Program development tools to implement commonly used forestry tools, and attempts to apply the developed tools in production processes. The development and application process revealed that forestry tools developed using WeChat Mini Programs are fast to build, relatively simple to develop, lightweight in output, platform-independent during runtime, require no installation, and can be used immediately by scanning a code. However, implementing complex business processes proves highly challenging. Practice demonstrates that using WeChat Mini Programs to develop small-scale forestry survey and calculation tools is feasible, and the outcomes are functional. Nevertheless, for more complex mapping applications, native application development technologies remain necessary.
