Abstract:
Laigu glacier in southeast of Tibetan was taken as the research object in this paper. Based on the remote sensing map taken by landsat8 satellite, we used the band combination method combined with remote sensing technology and the geographic information technology to process the data source and image to preliminarily extract and analyze the glacier boundary and glacier geological disaster information. At the same time, the site survey was also conducted to reveal the characteristics and causes of glacier geological disaster information. The results show that the interpretation of band combination method is accurate for the large area of exposed glacier, surface moraine and the area with thin snow and ice cover, but manual or other methods are needed for the area with thick moraine and snow and ice cover. The erosion, transport and accumulation of glaciers in the study area have triggered a large number of glacial geological disasters, such as slippage, glacier rockfall, glacier, avalanche, glacier debris flow and ice tongue fluctuation.
