Abstract:
The study analyzed the population structure,population regeneration and Loranthaceae parasitism of
Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana in the three plots by verification method, which are in or around Baima Snow Mountain National Nature Reserve and analyzed the problems of
Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana in this area,compared two monitoring results in 2016 and 2021. The results showed as follows. (1) The population age structure of
Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana in the three plots was consistent, and the populations were in the recession state. (2) The population of
Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana was faced with the difficulty of regeneration in the three plots. The seedlings and young trees are seriously insufficient,and tillering was the main regeneration. (3) The number of
Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana were parasitized by Loranthaceae plant increased significantly in the 5 years, and the parasitism rate was as high as 57.69% in the plot B. The parasitism of
Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana in the plots A and C could not be ignored. The Loranthaceae plant brought serious harm to
Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana. Some plants showed poor growth, dead branches, broken tips, and even the whole plant died. The influence of Loranthaceae plant on the trunk was more obvious. (4) In addition to the characteristics of the species, there were many main reasons for the difficulty in the regeneration of
Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana. The interference of Human being activities led to fewer seed sources,the soil layer was damaged, the young trees and seedlings were stolen, the seeds were eaten by livestock and animals, and population were damaged by the Loranthaceae plant.At present, there is lack of experience in the investigation and control of mulberry parasitism in
Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana population. Loranthaceae plant parasitism has a serious impact on the
Davidia involucrata var. Vilmoriniana population. It is necessary to strengthen scientific research and take effective protection measures.
