Abstract: Based on the census data, the total amount of resources, tree species structure, tree age, distribution,tenure, growth environment and growth status of ancient trees in Ya'an city are analyzed. The results showed that there were 1373 ancient trees in Ya'an City, with a total of 82 species, belonging to 40 branches of 66 genus, of which: first, second, third and famous trees accounted for 12.53%, 14.49%, 72.61% and 0.36% respectively.The dominant species include Advantages include Phoebe zhennan、Ginkgo biloba、Ficus virens、Pterocarya stenoptera、Cinnamomum camphora、Cupressus funebris and so on, the endanger and rare species are Schima superba、Toona ciliata、Davidia involucrata、Ormosia yaanensis、Yulania dawsoniana. The growth environment and growth conditions are generally better, mainly distributed in rural areas, and the vast majority of them are stateowned and collectively owned. In the current situation of resources on the full analysis can be seen, for the future Ya'an City ancient trees to strengthen the protection management and utilization of some suggestions.
