Research on forest park tourism development based on SWOT-AHP model: a case study of Lishui Baiyun National Forest Park in Zhejiang province

Abstract: Baiyun National Forest Park in Lishui, has good ecological and recreational environment resources. At present, the forest park is still an open forest park, and there are problems such as uneven development of scenic spots and inadequate planning of forest tourism product development. In response to these problems, this paper explores the strategic positioning of forest park tourism development based on the SWOT-AHP model. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the tourism development of the forest park are analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The hierarchical analysis structure model is constructed, and the SWOT strength, strategic azimuth and strategic strength coefficient are calculated. The tourism development strategy suitable for Baiyun National Forest Park in Lishui is determined. It was found that there have more strengths than opportunities, more threats than weaknesses of Baiyun National Forest Park in Lishui. The strategic azimuth θ of the forest park is between 0~π/4, which is determined that the forest park tourism development belonged with the strength type, and a positive strength development strategy should be adopted(the strategic strength coefficient is ρ=0.9559>0.5). The development of forest park tourism should adopt an active growth strategy. It is a potential reference for sustainable development to develop forest tourism products focusing on four series of suburban leisure health, forest natural education, forest sports experience, and forest cultural tourism, with a view to tourism development, resource protection, cultural inheritance.
