Abstract: The grassland resources monitoring helps to grasp the dynamic change of grassland resources in time, and provide evidence for the government decision-making, the grassland restoration plan and protection measures.Taking the practical experience in the process as the foundation, and taking the monitoring of grassland resources in Yudaokou pasture as an example, the layout method of grassland resource monitoring sample plot was summarized.The results showed that the monitoring area using simple random sampling method to calculate the number of sample plots was more suitable for the distribution of sample plots by mechanical uniform point method; and in the monitoring area where typical sampling method is used to calculate the number of sample plots, typical random method or line survey method is more advantageous.
