Abstract: With the continuous improvement of transportation network, the natural habitat of wild animals is constantly squeezed and divided. Wildlife corridor is one of the most effective ways to reduce wildlife casualties and slow down the fragmentation of wildlife habitat, which was caused by the rapid development of railway and road. The article summarizes the research results and practical experience of wildlife corridors in road construction at home and abroad, focusing on location selection, type and scale, size, plant installation, habitat restoration, auxiliary facilities, corridor design of different animals, monitoring and evaluation in the process of wildlife corridor construction. The article proposed some suggestion of designing, monitoring and evaluating of wildlife corridor in order to realize the harmonious development of transportation construction and wildlife conservation.
