Abstract:
Wetlands have various ecological functions such as water conservation, climate regulation, environmental improvement, and biodiversity maintenance, and are often referred to as the “kidneys of the earth.” China's wetland protection and restoration achievements are remarkable, but further coordination is needed for wetland protection and management to enhance wetland ecological functions while increasing the supply capacity of wetland ecological products. This study analyzes the spatial distribution characteristics of wetland resources in different regions of Daya Bay area, wetland types and structures, main pressures and problems, and combines natural environmental and urban management factors to propose a wetland ecological spatial planning program. It strengthens the management concept of the wetland system, provides scientific basis for the regional industrial layout, resource integration and utilization, and urban development planning.
