Abstract:
Pilot Demonstration Project for Biodiversity Monitoring in Laojunshan Provincial Nature Reserve was completed and put into use from 2022 to 2023. Based on the construction and application of this project, this paper discusses in detail the process and effectiveness of establishing a biodiversity monitoring system in Malipo and Maguan Laojunshan Provincial Nature Reserve. Through an in-depth analysis of the current biodiversity status in the reserve, combined with advanced monitoring technologies and informatization methods, a comprehensive monitoring system has been constructed, encompassing wildlife population video surveillance, biodiversity grid video surveillance, and a wireless private network transmission system. This paper also evaluates the implementation effect of the monitoring system, analyzes its positive roles in biodiversity conservation, ecosystem monitoring, and reserve management, and puts forward further suggestions and opinions for improvement.
