Application of highway BIM in the design phase

This paper realizes the "Forward Design" in highway BIM design through the application of highway engineering design BIM system. It elaborates the application of highway BIM system in drawing scheme design, scheme display and traffic organization analysis and simulation in the design stage. Firstly, it introduces the composition of China's self-developed "Highway Engineering Design BIM System", and introduces the general process of highway BIM design and the specific results of each process in combination with specific projects for BIM forward design. Secondly, it introduces the application on scheme presentation and the improvement on traditional survey and design means, etc. Finally, it summarizes the advantages of highway BIM technology and points out the current problems faced in highway BIM design and the ideas to solve them.
