Conservation and management of the Asian elephant in Lincang

Lincang has carried out a lot of work in Asian elephant protection and management,including basic research on Asian elephants,salvage protection of Asian elephants,special law enforcement inspection of nature reserves,policy and application research on nature reserves,etc.These measures have achieved remarkable results.With the development of Asian elephant conservation and management,we believe that we should focus on four aspects:strengthening gene exchange among Asian elephant populations,promoting habitat restoration projects,enhancing the capacity building of management institutions,combating illegal poaching and promoting publicity and education.
