Investigation on plant diversity of Qinghua Green Peafowl Provincial Nature Reserve

In order to understand the characteristics of plant diversity in the nature reserve of Qinghua Green Peafowl in Weishan, a two-year investigation on plant species was carried out in the nature reserve from 2021 to 2022. The composition of families, genera,species, flora, protective plants and invasive plants were analyzed. The results showed that:(1) a total of 616 species of vascular plants belonging to 126 families and 431 genera were recorded in the reserve, among which Asteraceae, Poaceae and Fabaceae contained more genera, while Pinaceae, Fagaceae, Meliaceae and Phyllanthaceae had fewer genera and species numbers. However, these families were the main species of vegetation in the reserve;(2) the floristic characteristics of the genera and species in the nature reserve were mainly tropical, followed by temperate;(3) the reserve recorded 5 species of National Grade II protected wild plants, 1 species of Yunnan Grade II protected wild plants, 20 species of near-dangerous IUCN, 9 species of CITES Appendix II, and 27 species of alien invasive plants. Although the reserve area is small, but the plant diversity is high, we should strengthen the protection of the existing plant resources, and the alien invasive plants monitoring research.
