Paths on ecological protection, restoration and rational utilization in Dahei Mountain rocky desertification ecologically fragile areas

  • As a typical ecologically fragile area afflicted by rocky desertification, Daheishan Mountain Area in Kaiyuan city is confronted with multiple challenges, including insufficient systematicity in ecosystem restoration, an incomplete biodiversity conservation network, a singular path for ecological product conversion, low integration of ethnic culture with ecological protection, and a governance system and long-term guarantee mechanism that await further refinement. To address these issues, this paper proposes implementing differentiated regional management and control, and advancing a series of initiatives: systematic ecological protection and restoration, comprehensive biodiversity conservation, high-quality value conversion of ecological products, diversified integrated development of culture and ecology, and the construction of a collaborative management system for sustainable and scientific governance. Through these efforts, the goal of achieving green and high-quality development in the rocky desertification-affected ecologically fragile area can be realized.
