Present situation and protection management countermeasures on wetland resources in Guangdong

Guangdong province is endowed with abundant and diverse wetland resources, which serve as a critical foundation for maintaining regional ecological security. Based on an analysis of the current status of wetland resources in Guangdong, this paper provides a comprehensive overview of the progress achieved in wetland conservation. In response to identified challenges in wetland protection and management, and in consideration of practical requirements, targeted strategies and policy recommendations are proposed to support decision-making aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of wetland management and advancing the high-quality development of wetland ecosystems in the region.
