Research status and prospect of Asian elephant

The problem of human-elephant conflict caused by habitat reduction of Asian elephants in China makes the protection of Asian elephants and their habitats very urgent.In this paper,the population number,genetic diversity,behavior and human-elephant conflict of Asian elephants in China are summarized,and the relevant research work of Asian elephants in China is sorted out to provide directions for the protection of Asian elephants.
