Strategy on protection of ancient trees in Zijin county

Based on the field investigation and references, the number, species, spatial distribution, growth potential and characters of the ancient trees in Zijin county of Guangdong province were studied. Meanwhile, administration status and problem about the ancient trees were also discussed, strategy on protection and application of ancient trees in Zijin county were put forward, so as to investigate the resources of big trees, monitor its growth circumstances, and provide scientific basis for the stand modification on ecological construction, etc.
