Analysis on stability of reinforcement of anchor rods in roadside slopes and the influencing factors

  • Exploring the reinforcement of anchor rods is of paramount importance for improving the stability of roadside slopes as well as the safety and sustainable development of the road. Based on the slope reinforcement project for a road embankment in a specific location, this article uses numerical simulation software to calculate the stability of the slope after the anchor rod reinforcement, and the effects of anchor incident angle, anchor length and spacing between anchors on slope stability were analyzed. The results indicate that after anchor rod reinforcement, the stability of the slope significantly improves from an unstable state to a stable state. The incident angle, anchor length, and spacing between anchors have a significant impact on the stability of slope. The stability of slope improves when the anchor rod length and incident angle increases, yet decreases when spacing between anchors increases. After the anchor incident angle increases to 16°, continuing to increase the incident angle will have small effect on improving the slope stability.
