Enlightenment from practice of afforestation and greening in north and south mountains of Xining to greening construction of north and south mountains of Lhasa

Lhasa and Xining belong to the Tibetan plateau, and mountain greening has many similarities. This paper summarizes the main experience and practices of afforestation in the north and south mountains of Xining from the aspects of planning and design, infrastructure construction, tree species selection, seedling quality, organization and implementation, approval procedures and participation methods. Based on the analysis of the problems faced by the afforestation of Lhasa mountains and the greening practice in Xining, the greening construction expectation of the north and south mountains of Lhasa is prospected.
