Abstract
From December 2021 to May 2022, 58 infrared cameras were set up in Laojun Mountain area of Wenshan National Nature Reserve, Yunnan Province,Collected data from 48 working infrared cameras, during a total of 5761 camera working days, and 7,881 independent and effective photos of wild animals were obtained. 20 species of animals, 4 orders, 9 families, 5 orders, 19 families, 58 species of birds were identified, including 15 species of wild animals under State II key protection. By calculating the relative richness index (RAI), it is concluded that: The five animals with the highest relative richness index were Dremomys pyrrhomerus (RAI=61.10), Sciurotamias forresti/Rupestes forresti, RAI=20.05), Paguma larvata (RAI=5.92), Atherurus macrourus (RAI=5.44), and Melogale moschata (RAI=4.64). Among the birds, Lophura nycthemera (RAI=8.55) and Leiothrix lutea (Arborophila rufogularis, RAI=10.45) were the five species with the highest relative richness index. RAI=3.54), Schoeniparus dubius, RAI=2.34, brown-breasted flycatcher (Ficedula hyperythra, RAI=1.86). The species composition and relative richness of animals and birds in Wenshan National Nature Reserve of Yunnan were preliminarily mastered by this monitoring, which provided a reference for wildlife research and conservation management.
