Thoughts on establishing a demonstration zone of national grassland ecological restoration in Tibet

Grassland is the largest ecosystem in Tibet, with important location and remarkable functions. It is of great significance in maintaining national ecological security, food security and border stability. However, grassland degradation has become an indisputable fact, and strengthening grassland protection and restoration has become the key to the construction of ecological barrier in the local area and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It has become a consensus to promote the high-quality development of grassland in Tibet by taking the opportunity of establishing a national grassland ecological restoration demonstration zone. Based on the situation of Tibet grassland, this paper analyzes the necessity and feasibility of the construction of grassland restoration demonstration area, and puts forward the construction idea of creating a national grassland restoration demonstration area, for Tibet and the grassland related departments to consider.
