Current situation and solutions on difficult area for ecological restoration of rocky desertification in Panlong river basin

The Panlong river basin in Wenshan city is a tough nut to crack in the control of rocky desertification, which belongs to a typical difficult area for ecological restoration. This paper take this area as the research object, through systematic investigation and analysis, the current characteristics of the research area were summarized. It was pointed out that the main problems faced by ecological restoration in the research area incluing high difficulty in restoration, high governance costs, weak technical support, poor hematopoietic capacity, and insufficient green development concept. Then, to provide reference for the management of rocky desertification ecological restoration difficulties in Wenshan prefecture,the pertinent suggestions were put forward, such as the developing scientific restoration methods, establishing multi-level investment mechanisms, strengthening scientific research cooperation, vigorously developing the forest industry, and establishing the concept of "two mountains".
