Classification of forest management types in Guangdong state-owned forest farm: a case study of Guangdong Jiulianshan Forest Farm

Classification of management types was explored, which can provide a reference for compiling forest management plan scientifically and improving forest quality accurately.This paper took Guangdong Jiulianshan Forest Farm as an example, based on the data of forest management inventory, the groups of forest management types were classified firstly according to the forest category, protection level of non-commercial forest and management objectives.Secondly the forest management types were classified by the tree species(groups) based on the first step.Finally, forest management types were integrated with the tree species(groups) and management objectives.The results showed that it was classified 3 groups and 12 kinds of management types in Guangdong Jiulianshan Forest Farm.
