Analysis on temporal and spatial characteristics and strategy of forest fires in Honghe prefecture from 1990 to 2020

Based on the results of the first forest fire risk survey, the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of forest fires in Honghe prefecture from 1990 to 2020 were analyzed and strategy were proposed. The results shows that the number of forest fires in Honghe prefecture has shown a wave upward trend in the past 30 years, and the area of forest fires was generally stable. In terms of spatial distribution, the number and area of forest fires in the southern region were significantly less than those in the northern region.The vast majority of forest fires for which the cause has been identified are man-made fires, accounting for more than 98 per cent.Based on accurately grasping the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of forest fires in Honghe prefecture, six strategy and suggestions were proposed.
